About David Hill
David Hill is a nationally recognized swim coach, educator, aquatics leader, author, and founder of Elite Swim Training LLC and EST Aquatics. With more than 16 years of experience across learn-to-swim, summer league, high school, club, collegiate, and elite performance settings, David has coached thousands of swimmers from their first strokes through championship-level competition.

Throughout his coaching career, David has worked with state champions, All-State swimmers, Southeastern qualifiers, Junior National qualifiers, national-level athletes, and Olympic Trials qualifiers. His coaching background includes experience with age-group swimmers, high school athletes, college swimmers, and elite performers, giving him a broad understanding of athlete development from foundational skills to advanced race execution.

David’s coaching philosophy blends technical precision, sports science, leadership, and athlete-centered development. He believes that great coaching is not only about helping athletes swim faster, but also about building confidence, character, discipline, resilience, and long-term growth.

Coaching, Aquatics, and Leadership Experience
David has served in multiple leadership roles within swimming and aquatics, including swim coach, aquatics director, interim collegiate head coach, lifeguard instructor, water safety instructor trainer, and program developer.

Most recently, David served as Interim Head Swim Coach and Aquatics Director, where he led collegiate swimmers, managed pool operations, supported recruiting, developed aquatics procedures, and helped strengthen facility safety standards. His work included developing emergency action procedures, pool operations systems, lifeguard expectations, staff training, and aquatic safety protocols.

David’s aquatics leadership experience gives him a unique ability to connect competitive swimming, water safety, emergency preparedness, and professional rescue training into one comprehensive approach.

Academic Excellence and Professional Preparation
David’s academic background reflects his commitment to lifelong learning, leadership, and evidence-informed coaching. He holds a PhD in Kinesiology from Selinus University and is currently completing his Doctor of Education in Sports Leadership at Concordia University Chicago. His doctoral research focuses on leadership, athlete motivation, and long-term athlete development within competitive swimming.

He also earned a Master of Science in Education — Sport Management and a Bachelor of Science in Education — Health and Physical Education from the University of Kansas. In addition, David holds multiple professional certifications in coaching, personal training, corrective exercise, strength and conditioning, biomechanics, nutrition, lifeguarding, water safety, and athletic development.

This combination of academic preparation, coaching experience, and aquatics leadership allows David to design programs that are practical, research-informed, and focused on measurable growth.

Author, Educator, and Innovator
David is the author of multiple books and training resources focused on swimming, dryland training, nutrition, athlete development, goal setting, leadership, and performance. His resources are designed to support swimmers, coaches, and parents with accessible, practical, and high-quality education.

As the founder of Elite Swim Training LLC, David has developed an expanding platform for swim education, online courses, training plans, coaching resources, and athlete-development tools. His mission is to make high-quality swim coaching knowledge more accessible to athletes, families, coaches, and aquatic professionals regardless of location or budget.

Through EST Aquatics, a DBA of Elite Swim Training LLC, David has expanded that mission into lifesaving education, lifeguard training, CPR/AED, First Aid, water safety, and aquatic emergency response.

Teaching and Mentorship
In addition to coaching, David has served as a classroom educator and mentor, teaching health, physical education, leadership, goal setting, and personal development. His teaching and coaching approach emphasizes structure, encouragement, accountability, and belief in each student’s potential.

David’s work extends beyond performance outcomes. Whether he is coaching a swimmer, training a lifeguard, teaching a student, or mentoring a young athlete, his goal is to help people develop confidence, responsibility, discipline, and the skills needed to succeed in and out of the water.

Current Work
David currently leads Elite Swim Training LLC and EST Aquatics, providing swim coaching, aquatic safety education, professional rescue training, athlete-development resources, and coaching education.

Through his work, David continues to support swimmers, coaches, lifeguards, aquatic facilities, and families with a mission centered on safety, performance, leadership, and lifelong growth. His vision is to build a trusted education and training platform that helps athletes swim faster, coaches teach better, lifeguards respond with confidence, and communities become safer around the water.

Jessi Hill is a business operations professional with experience in program coordination, administrative leadership, project support, and community-focused organizational work. She is known for her strong attention to detail, collaborative approach, and ability to support complex operations with professionalism, consistency, and care.

Jessi previously served as Operations Coordinator for the Catalyst Center in Huntsville, Alabama, where she supported programs and initiatives designed to strengthen entrepreneurs, small businesses, families, and the broader community. In this role, she contributed to day-to-day operations, program logistics, communication, organizational systems, and administrative support. Her ability to manage details, coordinate priorities, and serve others with professionalism made her a valuable part of the organization.

She earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, bringing a strong foundation in business, leadership, planning, and organizational management to her professional work. Jessi’s strengths include communication, problem-solving, organization, process improvement, and supporting teams in achieving their goals.

In addition to her professional background, Jessi is an advocate for gluten-free living and Celiac disease awareness. Through her personal experience managing Celiac disease, she brings a thoughtful and practical perspective to conversations around food safety, dietary needs, and inclusive planning.

Jessi and her husband, David Hill, are proud parents to their daughter, Emma Grace. Her professional and personal life reflects a commitment to excellence, service, family, and helping others succeed through structure, support, and dependable leadership.
